What Is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy, a non-surgical face lift of sorts, is a controlled and non-invasive facial-rejuvenation procedure. Ultherapy treatment uses Ultrasound, which is part of the sound spectrum inaudible to humans. A way to describe it is kind of like UV light from the sun, which we are all familiar with. We cannot see UV light, but we can certainly see its effect on our skin. In the same way the sound waves from Ultrasound cannot be heard by the human ear, but its effects can ben seen.

How does Ultherapy Treatment work?

Ultherapy works by directing ultrasound beneath the skin surface and disturbing a layer called the dermis. The vibrations caused by the ultrasound, and the resultant low level heat, cause the dermis to react to produce more collagen and ultimately new tighter skin cells. Over time the new cells replace old cells providing a new, fresher look! The extra collagen also helps the smoothing of wrinkles and overall visual health of the skin. Generally the Ultherapy Treatment, which is non-surgical, can be completed in under an hour, and does not require anesthetic. After the procedure the skin will look blushed but returns to normal within a few hours. During the procedure you will feel a “warming sensation”, which is a little uncomfortable but tolerable. Ultherapy is a quick procedure allowing you to return to your usual daytime activities immediately after. For optimal results, Ultherapy treatment is provided in several of these short sessions providing controlled and treatment tailored specifically to your skin. Ultherapy works for all skin types and, for more than 50 years, has proven track record in many disciplines throughout the medical industry. For example: Use in medical imaging, liposuction, and teeth or bone regeneration.
